FAQ

Q

How are Ceramic Grinding Balls Manufactured?

A

Ceramic Grinding Balls are manufactured through the rigorous process of Forming - Sintering - Polishing - Sorting - sieving . The sintering temperature is up to 1450° C ,even higher for Alumina balls(about 1580° C ),thus ceramic balls with super wear resistance.

Q

What's the advantageous of your balls?

A

1、Good roundness,smooth and bright surface,compact internal structure

2、Excellent chemical and physical stability, strong resistance to acid and alkali.

3、High compressive strength,super surface toughness

4、Low wear loss,friendly to equipment,excellent grinding media

5、We can provide grinding solutions

Q

How to Choose which kind of Ceramic Grinding Beads?

A

Since ceramic beads are used as grinding media,The selection of grinding beads depend on the materials in the ball mills. The chemical composition of the grinding beads during the grinding process will have a certain impact on the performance of the slurry, so in addition to considering the low wear rate, the chemical elements are also factors to be considered. Such as grinding tape powder or other electronic component slurry, metal Fe, Cu and other elements should be avoided, and grinding beads containing Fe2O3 or CuSO4 and other components are not selected, so choosing zirconium beads is often the common choice in this industry; such as grinding pesticides , pharmaceutical and biochemical aspects, heavy metals are considered elements, and PbO is the most common component. In short, some physical properties (hardness, density, wear resistance) determined by the chemical composition of the beads and the contamination of the slurry by its own abrasion are the factors to be considered in the selection of grinding media. Please contact us info@cerambeads.com,for better recomandations.

Q

How should i know which sized balls for my Ball Mill?

A

There are formula to calculate the quantity per Ball mill, please inform us your ball mill size, then we can help you to calculate. Ceramic balls performance is dependent on the ball size. Larger balls are effective for large-sized and hard particles while smaller balls are effective for the breakage of lighter and fine particles.

Q

How about your production capacity ?

A

About 10000 Tons/Year for Aluminum balls

About 1300 Tons/Year for Zirconia balls
